The semi-basement floor houses various common service areas of the hotel. On this level, the inner courtyard of the block remains uncovered, except for its central part, which serves as a connecting link between the two flat blocks. This central area is covered with a metal structure that forms an umbraculum/greenhouse, supporting a large protective glass roof.
The project turns around the courtyard as its central core.
The courtyard is converted into a large terrace that houses outdoor recreational spaces. The ground floor includes the hotel reception and offices. The other floors are for residential use. Biophilia is used as a priority design tool.
Sustainability as a primary objective.
In terms of sustainability, an environmentally friendly and energy efficient building is proposed, complying with Passivhaus and BREEAM standards.
